The AAXA P2 pico projector is now availableJust a couple of days after Optoma releases their new PK-102 projector, AAXA's P2 is now available, for 340$. The P2 is an LCoS based, 33 lumens, 800x600 resolution pico projector. This is AAXA's second-generation projector, providing better resolution and more brightness than the P1. Other features include direct VGA connector (supporting up to 1280x720 input), remote control, stereo speakers, MP4 player, 1Gb of onboard memory and a microSD slot. Battery life is 35 minutes, but AAXA also sells optional batteries (for 70/180 additional minutes). Like we said, the P2 costs 340$, and it's available now.

Aaxatech P2 first impressions
I have to say, the P2 did not disappoint in the wait and performance. First of all, I've wanted a projector all my life but couldn't stomach the $2000-$3000 price for what would seem like a hobby since I'm not an avid movie watcher, but I just wanted something that could give me a big screen when I want it and the P2 does just that at a reasonable price.
Some may argue that this is "big" for a pico projector which it could be compared to the other ones but honestly, I'd say for something that's about 25% bigger than it's competitors but almost 300% brighter, I think that's a more than fair trade-off. I haven't been able to take any pictures, but I managed to find this post online that was a great review. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=5403603#post5403603
