Microvision got a $8.5 million PicoP engine order for a PMP, to be released late 2010

Microvision announced today that they have received an $8.5 million purchase order for their PicoP laser pico-projector modules for a consumer electronics customer. The plan is to use the engine in a high-end mobile media player, which will be released towards the end of 2010.

Microvision's PicoP engine is based on Laser-Beam-Steering and provides a focus-free image with WVGA (848x480) resolution.
