3M's CP45 is 3M's 2nd generation projector camcorder (an upgrade to the CP40) that offers HD (720p) videos, 5mp still camera, LED flash and 2GB of memory (and a microSD slot). It also has a small 2.4" LCD. The projector offers SVGA (800x600) resolution at 20 lumens. It includes A/V and composite inputs.

The CP45 costs $299 in the US and £299.99 in the UK and Europe.

The S1200pj is Nikon's third generation projector camera (the successor to the S1100pj). Beside shrinking the camera quite considerable, Nikon also moved to DLP from LCoS, and upped the lumens to 20 (we assume that they use TI's WVGA 854x480 DLP chip). Beside the projector, the S1200pj has a 14.1mp sensor, 5X optical zoom and a 3" LCD. It can record HD (720p) video. Like the S1100pj, the new camera can connect to an external source (Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod) and act as a stand-alone pico projector.

The S1200pj will launch in mid-September 2011 for $429. You can pre-order it now over at Amazon.com.

The DVP6HD is a Full-HD (1080p, 30fps) video camera that offers H.264 video compression, 3 seconds pre-record, 3.5" touch LCD and 16mp still images. The built-in pico projector offers QVGA (320x240) resolution and 7 lumens of brightness. The camera records to SD cards.

The DVP6HD is now shipping for $249.

Sony's HDR-PJ is a series of camcorders with a built-in projectors - a LED based LCoS projector. We do not have any technical details on the projector yet - beside the fact that it can project images up to 60".

The HDR-PJ camcorders will be available around April 2011. The HDR-PJ50V (with a 220GB H/D) will cost $1000, the HDR-PJ30V (with 32GB flash) will cost $950 and the 16GB HDR-PJ10 will cost $700.

The ADV-J6 is a Full-HD (1080p@30fps) camcorder with a 320x240 8 lumens LCoS pico-projector. The camera has a 5mp sensor, 3.5" touch LCD display, A/V and HDMI output and records on SD cards.

The ADV-J6 is now shipping for $299.

The DV S11 is a full-HD (1080P) camcorder with a pico-projector. It's got a 5mp camera and a large (3.5" 230K pixels) LCD. It stores images to an SD card, and includes an HDMI out port. We don't have any technical information about the projector itself.

The DV-S11 is now shipping in the US for $229.

The GE PJ1 is a projector camera that uses a DLP projector (854x480, 15 lumens). The camera offers a 14.1mp sensor, 720p video and 7X optical zoom. It uses SD and SDHC memory cards.

The PJ-1 is now shipping for $299.99.
